Mete Feridun

Professor Dr. Mete Feridun is the Chair of the Centre for Financial Regulation and Risk Management, and the Vice Chair, Department of the Department of Banking and Finance. Prof. Feridun is a former Senior Supervisor at the Bank of England's Prudential Regulation Authority, where he was in charge of the supervision of global systemically important banks (G-SIBs), and the UK Financial Conduct Authority, where he was responsible for the oversight of the implementation of the structural reform in the UK banking sector. Professor Feridun has also served as a regulatory consultant at the Financial Services Risk and Regulation practice at PwC in London, where he provided regulatory consulting and delivered professional training to the senior management of global banks and investment firms. Professor Feridun has also served as a financial sector consultant for the World Bank and has worked for one of the leading global regulatory technology (RegTech) firms based in London as a senior researcher. An author of two books on banking regulation, Prof. Feridun has held visiting positions with the University of Oxford Faculty of Law, Cambridge University Department of Economics and LSE Systemic Risk Centre. A Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Professor Feridun is also a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA).
